Lost da Vinci Artwork Sold for $21K

Lost da VinciLost da Vinci Artwork Sold for $21K – Christie’s auction house may have sold a priceless piece of art by Leonardo da Vinci for a little more than $ 21,000, a painting that appears to have come from a 500-year-old book that contains a family history of the Duke of Milan.

Martin Kemp, an art historian from the University of Oxford believes painting is a portrait of the duke’s daughter. The painting appears in 1998 and created by da Vinci for a wedding book daughter of the Duke of Milan.

“We knew it came from a book, you have the stitch holes and can see the knife cut. Finding it is a miracle in a way. I was amazed,” Kemp told LiveScience. “When doing historical research on 500-year-old objects … you hardly get the circle completed in this way.”

Detroit Tigers

Detroit Tigers – With runners at the corners of Detroit Tigers in the eighth and the score 3-all, Cruz called Flyball Delmon Young to right and made a strong link with Napoli, the receiver, to nail Miguel Cabrera.

For the latest sports news from USA TODAY, including game results, columns and features, follow us on Twitter at @ USATODAYSports.

“To you who have not seen Nelson each day, which is able to do exactly what you are doing,” said Texas manager Ron Washington. “We’ve been waiting a long time, and as I always say, I do not judge just because Nelson hit balls out of the stadium. It is a complete player. He takes pride in all parts of the game.”

Now Detroit Tigers has to win four of the next five games to return to the World Series for the first time since losing to St. Louis in 2006.

It will not happen. Heck, they could only see the defending champions swept before AL Verlan Justin a second chance to throw.

Although the series moves to Detroit Tigers – where the Tigers this season 50-31 – Game 3 always seemed like a game of Texas could find a way to win. And after the first two games, I am even more convinced.

Texas Rangers

Texas Rangers - When the ball flew over his head on a path that acknowledged it was true, the Texas Rangers’ Michael Young knew his team was going to survive, at least for another entry.

The ball came screaming out of the hand of Texas Rangers right fielder Nelson Cruz, landed in the glove of catcher Mike Napoli and was used to apply the label to the felling of 240 pounds of weight of the Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday night.

Aside from my faith in Cobra, this game looks set for Texas Rangers to explode offensively. Michael Young is going to hit. This is Hamilton. And both showed good signs of warming in Game 2. Of course, the Boomstick is already scorching heat.

After last season, when his tormentors abuse Texas Rangers playoff series last year’s American League championship, with years of failure in the playoffs at the hands of the Yankees, the Texas Rangers have a chance to exorcise another ghost . The Texas Rangers now looking down a place in history is not seen outside New York since the days of the Blue Jays were winning back to back champion in ’92-93 Toronto – the Texas Rangers have the opportunity to represent the League Americana in the World Series for the Fall Classic for the second consecutive time. And to get there, they must defeat a Tigers team in a stadium that it sometimes seems like a mystical number.

Texas Rangers smell blood in the water. And, more than any team in franchise history, it is built like a shark.

Matthew Shepard

Matthew Shepard – The true story of Matthew Shepard, murdered in 1998 for being gay, is coming to a stage of Collingswood, with an output of 4 performance of The Laramie Project.

Made by Collingswood Community Theatre (CCT), the production was written by Moises Kaufman and, according to the website, is an officer of the work based on more than 200 interviews the Tectonic Theater Project conducted with residents of Laramie. , Where are found the body of Matthew Shepard.

Thirteen years ago tonight, Matthew Shepard was lured to a rural road, bound, gun mounted then left for dead simply because he was gay. Not found for nearly a day, still barely alive in the climate of 30 degrees, the only part of her face covered with blood was where the tears ran. The attack on Matthew, and his subsequent death within a few days, was a galvanizing moment for the gay community. He was one of the few times I can think of, in the twenty years I’ve been away, that something changed in us all throughout the country, a much higher target level,.

As is tradition, today is the day that I stop to reflect on Matthew Shepard, a student at the University of Wyoming who was savagely beaten, tied to a fence and left to die

Presidential Debate – The Republican Presidential Debate at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire on Tuesday night was at least an opportunity for the governor of Texas. The loss of support in the polls and replaced by Herman Cain as the main challenger perpetual Mitt Romney default favorite, Perry had the opportunity to change the dynamic.

Bloomberg TV joins the fight tonight Presidential Debate, hosted their first presidential debate. Charlie Rose will moderate the Republican Party debate at Dartmouth, which will be in a roundtable-style pink (in fact, more oval), with no podiums. Julianna Goldman Bloomberg TV and The Washington Post Tumulty, Karen will join Rose and candidates to the table.

New Hampshire Debate

New Hampshire Debate - Herman Cain, the last Republican presidential candidate to increase the top of the polls, was found in the hot seat Tuesday night in a New Hampshire Debate focused on economic issues.

The centerpiece of the campaign of Cain, his intelligent entitled “9-9-9″ plan to restructure the U.S. Tax Code was the subject of severe scrutiny as other Republicans on stage tried to hit the former CEO of Pizza godfather of his pedestal.

The Congress passed the TARP, which is always up to $ 700 billion to rescue financial institutions, and President George W. Bush signed into law in early October 2008. The overwhelming consensus of financial analysts and economists is that the TARP will ultimately prevent the collapse of global financial system. The Treasury Department end up spending less than $ 500 billion of the $ 700 million for assistance to banks, most of which credit was extended before Obama took office. The Department of the Treasury in the Obama administration has recovered all the bank loans and taxpayers have made ??money, thanks to the interest that banks should pay and the Treasury recovers revenue from the sale of the orders that banks must deposit as collateral.

There was a “New Hampshire Debate” last night. You saw it? If not, it may be because it was on Bloomberg TV crazy. I do not know where to go from there. Citizens Band Radio, perhaps?

Charlie Rose moderated the New Hampshire Debate, the debate focused exclusively on the economy, and it was actually a round in which candidates will ask each other questions (which should be in all the debates). However, it was a good debate. Much less “!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Gardasil and “why not a fight with this guy” and a much more focused on problems. Here is a summary of how each was doing.
